| Abstract |
Though the demand of foreign laborer in the labor market of domestic construction is increasing, systems for managing and supervising them are insufficient. In order to resolve the problem of employing foreign laborer, the government made the Employment Permission System approved by the National Assembly in July 2003, and announced to run the existing Industrial Trainee System parallel with it from August 2004. However, the parallel running of the two systems has many potential problems such as legal status of foreign laborers flowed in and differences in treatment to them and in the subject of induction. The object of this study is to provide practical basic data to establish a system or a policy for efficient use of foreign laborers in the domestic construction industry. With the subjects of field managers who served in the domestic construction field, the actual state of using foreign laborers and the problems were investigated, and the consciousness on the existing employment system for foreign laborers and plan for improving system were analyzed and suggested. |
