Abstract In this study, analyzing class method and curriculum of educational space, and demand performance of materials and user, it is surveyed that windows & doors materials design performance standards suitable to educational facilities. The performance of windows & doors is surveyed basic 6 items, that is torsional strength, airtightness, watertightness, sound insulation, heat insulation, open & close repetition etc. The results is followed.
(1) Result of questionnaire survey, it is judged that the wrenching strength of wooden window & doors at school is desirable to under 1.0%, the lowest grade of KS F 3117. (2) The basic grade of airtightness is established to 1st grade of KS F 1010 based on 2nd~8th grade by the KS F 3109, 3117. Especially, computer room established 0 grade, and laboratories, cafeteria, toilet established 2nd grade. (3) In the watertightness of windows & doors, it is desirable to established 3rd grade by KS F 1010. Especially, it is generable that computer room, corridor, and stairs are upward 1 grade. (4) In the sound insulation established basic grade to 0 grade of KS F 1010. Especially, english classroom, music classroom, audiovisual classroom, library, linguistic classroom, gymnasium, corridor and stairs established 1st grade to upward 1 grade. (5) The heat insulation establish 1st grade by KS F 1010, and computer classroom, library, cafeteria, gymnasium, corridor and stairs establish 2nd grade upward 1 grade. (6) In the KS F 4524, the basic performance of steel wheel associated with the open and close repetition of windows & doors evaluate traveling 100,000 times, therefore the opening and closing repetition establish 100,000 times, and gymnasium, library and cafeteria establish 200,000 times upward 1 grade. Hereafter, this study will be use basic data of designing and planning for educational facilities of the performance of windows & doors, and unique development of materials, establishment of associated standards etc.
