Abstract This study begins with asking a key question of the relationship between human being and dwelling, based on today's nomadic life style. About present-day space, the space of flow gains the ascendancy over the space of place and modern power moves from sedentary type to nomadic one. The extreme fluidity and digital culture intensify today's nomadic life style. Values of possession of fixed property turned into values of fluidity emphasizing use. In opposition to sedentary dwelling, contemporary dwelling interprets space with values of use as the central figure along the mobility of individuals. In other words, it responds to everyday demand in quest of flexibility, fluidity and adaptability deviating from fixed lifestyle in certain place. Unit and Community, the component of the dwelling space, are understood differently in contemporary dwelling from Modern sedentary concept. Unit is interpreted not as a typological one for constituting structure, but as a deformable body for form, space and program. Also community is understood not as a center of identity, but as a selective one on the basis of connectivity and random responsiveness of Network.
