Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze designs and their process in apartment remodeling case. and especially to find out effect and direction for next remodeling by analyzing between residents' needs and satisfaction about residential environment, and how apartment remodeling designs are influenced residents' needs. This is a previously elementary study, which suggests a direction of study on evaluation and diagnostication method for apartment remodeling design in Korea. For this study, first, remodeling design plans and details of apartment remodeling case are examined by document survey, and the present conditions of case apartment are examined by field survey. Second, interview survey are executed with architects and participants of apartment remodeling. Interview question articles are contained ⅰ)aims of remodeling, ⅱ)remodeling designs realized, ⅲ)residents' participation for remodeling design. Third, questionnaire survey are executed to find out residents' needs, satisfaction and attitude to apartment remodeling experienced. Mapo-Yonggang Apartment, a remodeling case for this study, is located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Korea, and the first example of private-initiated apartment |
