Abstract |
The present research is to present a plan to preserve the man-made lake Manseokgeo which is a city foundation establishment related to Hwaseong Fortress in Suweon which has been registered as World Cultural Heritage in 1997, as a historical cultural environment.??In order to obtain this object, we studied 1) the meaning and role of the influence of the construction of Manseokgeo on the society of its time based on the social situation when Manseokgeo was constructed, 2) the state and role of the meaning of Manseokgeo as a historical cultural environment in current cities based on the significance of the construction of the man-made lake Manseokgeo, according to the transformation of the city as a historical cultural environment in the city, and finally 3) the plan to preserve and manage Manseokgeo as a historical cultural environment.??The plan to preserve and manage has been presented in two aspects: one is a plan in the aspect of improving the physical environment, which is a plan to restore the scenery of Manseokgeo, and the other is a plan in the aspect of non physical management, which is a plan to appoint it as a historical park. |
