Abstract |
Urban structures these days repeat changing with very fast speed. Usually traces of the past under the pretext of development have disappeared unconsciously and the downtowns have been dreary spaces. Lately modern architectures have been recognized as cultural properties and a series of measure has been taken. Governments establish related departments and introduce new systems to make effort toward the conservation of cultural properties not being authorized but being worthy of conservation in modern. Additionally conservation, reconstruction and reuse about overall cultural properties have lively been hotly debated. So, this thesis conceives of modern buildings as cultural properties in cities and investigates how they would survive in the cities growing and changing over and over again. It is the aim of this thesis that cultural properties would be not conserved in museums but find the way of??the sustainable conservation that could be coexisted with the context of urban changes. |
