Abstract Recently, indoor air pollution problem is happening in apartment housing due to the use of new building materials that emit poisonous chemical such as Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs) and Formaldehyde (HCHO) etc. Therefore, the issues about security of healthy dwelling environment is becoming important. There are the methods to reduce indoor air contaminant. First, source control which is the method to control the emission of contaminant from building materials. Second, adopting the air cleaning and ventilation system which is the method to dilute the concentration of contaminant and exhaust the contaminant to outside of the building quickly. In this research, we evaluated the improvement effect of the indoor air quality??quantitatively by using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation on the assumption that air cleaning and ventilation system is installed.
