Abstract Additional corrosion tests and adhesion strength tests were carried out after corroded reinforcing rods embedded in concrete to a specific degree using the method of corrosion promotion by potential difference, to understand the corrosiveness of the reinforcing rods and damage levels. Basic informations in order to establish the standard method of repair design were provided after the analysis and comparisons of test results. The results from examining and considering the test data are as follow. 1) With regard to anti-corrosiveness resulted from the repair of the corroded reinforced rods, profile repair after V-cutting was superior by 5% to repair using the injection method. With regard to repair materials, the anti-corrosiveness when repaired with profile repair materials of the polymer cement line appeared to be higher by 3~5% than that with epoxy injection materials. 2) From a test for investigating the repair effect of the surface repair method, we found that anti- corrosiveness at low corrosiveness was higher in order of oil film paint > foaming film paint > water film paint, and that repair effect against rust at high corrosiveness was higher in order of oil film paint > water film paint > foaming film paint.
