Abstract The purpose of this study is thermal performance simulation about various type that can apply in the high- rise residential building to estimate heat transmission performance of window that is consisted of frame and glazing in curtain wall. The result of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Temperature deflection of frame according to change of frame differed by 2.8℃~23.2℃ and the interior & exterior temperature according to glass type differed by 13.7℃. 2) Aluminum frame is much the heat flow amount through frame and PVC frame is much the heat flow amount through joint region of frame-glazing. 3) The case that apply krypton is high by 0.73~1.06℃ than the case that apply air in gas. 4) When compared result of window frame by type of thermal break, the heat flow amount of azon is a few by 35.5~50.6 W/m2 than polyamid and polythermid in the heat flow amount and heat flow amount deflection, it reduced by 1.1~1.2% heat flow amount.
