Abstract A construction field organization is one of the most important factors in order to perform a construction project successfully. However, it is difficult to judge whether a construction field organization will thoroughly carry out a construction project or not,??because not only construction projects are individual but also most construction field organizations are not continuous. The purpose of this paper is to provide a model which enables decision makers in a construction company to estimate a level of a construction field organization in conducting a project. In this study, field organizations are divided by the construction cost, evaluation factors are classified by groups, roles and persons and their weights are calculated by AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Consequently, through the proposed model construction managers can quantitatively measure a construction field organization's capability, which makes it possible to manage their whole construction fields‘ organizations as well as to constitute a new one.
