Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine state of art of maintenance management of telecommunication buildings and reliability assessment using failure history data was performed. And, relationship failure history data and evaluation system of degradation degree was, also, evaluated. The result of this study is as follows ; it was found that date showing a tendency to wear-out failure in telecommunication buildings is earlier than that of office buildings owing to 24-hour operation, and, MTBF(Mean Time Between Failures) was decreased as cumulative running hour increased. In addition, failure occurrence number of HVAC as time elapses increased annually, and, as items of failure history data account for 77.5 % of maintenance part of degradation degree, failure history data is useful tool to evaluate degradation degree of HVAC.
