Abstract |
The story height of the tall buildings has become the significant construction factor due to the limited construction area within the metropolitan city. iTECH (Innovative Technical Economical & Convenient Hybrid) beam system has been developed to reduce the story height of residential and commercial building. The iTECH beam system, which is partly encased by the concrete, has inherent good performance under fire. The temperature distribution of iTECH beam under two fire conditions were analyzed by using the finite element program in this study. ISO standard fire and Eurocode parametric fire were adopted for the target fire conditions. The load-carryring capacity of iTECH beam under fire was evaluated according to Eurocode 1 part 2.2. to analyze the contributions of the section parts to the plastic moment capacity in fire. The fire resistance of the iTECH beam was investigated under the parametric natural fires defined by Annex B of Eurocode 1 Part 2.2. The major analytical parameters in the study were opening factor(ventilation factor) , and fire load density per unit floor area . The relationship between the minimum load ratio and the fire parameters was discussed in detail. |
