Abstract This purpose of study is to predict the ultimate shear strength on beam-column joints of composite system(RCS) with reinforced concrete column and steel beam by regression analysis. Especially for those categorized as through-beam type, the accuracy of the existing design equations proposed in Japan and the US was studied by comparing with database collected from existing literature.
It reviews correlativity between test result and experimental variable such as face bearing plate(FBP), extend FBP, vertical joint reinforcement, band plate, cover plate, transverse beam. In this study, design equation for beam-column joints of RCS is studied in the shear strength which is considering the shear resistance of steel web panel, inner and outer concrete strut mechanism by regression analysis.
