Abstract |
This study analyzes the thermal performance measurement method and a real example of a radiant ceiling cooling panel which is needed before the application of a radiant ceiling cooling system for a real building. A prototype of radiant cooling panel was constructed and installed under the ceiling of a test room. A small test room was constructed , corresponding to KD1 of FGK(Specialist association for building climate in Germany) with the geometry, length×width×height ; 2.4m×1.2m×1.5m. The thermal performance of the cooling panel was measured according to the DIN 4715-1(Cooling surfaces for rooms-Part 1: Measuring of the performance with free flow; Test rules, length×width×height ; 4m×4m×3m) in a small test room. A small test room for a thermal performance analysis of cooling ceiling panel could be useful for a development of a radiant cooling system, if the test result that the cooling power in a small test chamber is about 15% lower than one in a normal test chamber is considered. |
