| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the form of urban tissue as focusing on lots and street system. The result is as follows ; first, This area was affected by topography and urban context. It is identified that Grid Pattern is discontinued around Mokpo Pedestal, Song Island, SeoSan-Dong, Mokpo Culture Center etc. And a part of old road is the same as Muan Street in Foreign Settlement. Second, Foreign Settlement is composed of three Grid Shaped Pattern and T-Shaped Pattern. Three Grid shaped pattern (6lots blocks, 8lots blocks, 8lots block') varies with the times of development. T-Shaped Pattern is placed on hilly districts(Seosan-Dong, Mokpo Pedestal, Song Island). Third, each urban patch has a variety of lots pattern. there are many narrow deep lots in 8lots block, The reason is that 8lots block and a five way-crossing place on between Mokpo Harbor, Mokpo Station and korean residential area. |
