| Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of lateral resistance factors to lateral displacement. For this, we selected the strength of material, the size of member section, outrigger, and brace as the lateral resistance factors. And, we generated a large number of analysis models that make the effects of the factors to the lateral displacement exposed. Then we performed the structural analysis using ETABS ver.6. Finally, we compared and analyzed the lateral displacement and quantity for each analysis models.
Although the effects of the floor plan types and materials are not considered, we expect that the results of this study could be utilized in the preliminary structural design of tall buildings. |
