Abstract |
The study is to analyze how the residents' use the mixed-use residential building complex and thereby contribute to the later planning of mixed-use complex. To do this the analysis has mainly focused on the disparity between the professionals' intention, and the actual usage of residents. The target of the study has been limited to indoor public facilities. The case study has been made on the complexs of over 30 stories in the business district of Sungnam, Kyonggi Province. Three complexes have been selected out and categorized into three different size i.e. approximately 1,800units complex , 720units complex, 150units complex. The research method which has been used is qualitative approach. Interviews were held with architects to find out the process of planning and facility managers to get information of residents' daily usage pattern. Observation of the residents' use has also taken. The analysis can be divided largely into planning and designing, and actual usage by residents. The finding issues are discussed focusing on 1)the analysis of process in planning and designing stage, 2) the problems and analysis of actual usage stage 3)the intensives and actual usage of provided facilities for adjacent neighborhoods. |
