Abstract |
The post-occupancy evaluation model should be a necessary foundation that the future architectural design is to be grounded on for the user-oriented design. The purpose of the study is to develop a POE model reflecting both perspectives from residents and facility managers of the super-tall mixed-use residential buildings. The research rests on the qualitative approach in consideration of the nature of information that is to be collected. As for the interviews with the facility managers, the subjects of the interview have been restricted to the ones of super-tall buildings of over 30 stories, with 7 cases from Seoul, and 4 cases from Sungnam, Kyonggi Province. In addition, in-depth interviews with 5 residents have been made and the written responses to the open-ended questionnaires from 8 residents have been collected. The obtained results have been analyzed bases on the physical environmental factor, the behavioral factor and the functional factor. To be more concrete with those points, the following focal points are discussed as a research findings;1)the change of the residence performance of super-tall buildings,2) the amenity of physical and psychological aspects,3)the economical aspects of maintenance,4) neighborhood-ship and the role of public facilities,5)the use of the public facilities and the sense of belongingness,6)the linkage to the adjacent neighborhood,7)the historicity of home and the sense of value of mixed-use residential building. |
