Abstract The construction industry has been largely dependent on manpower so far and sufficient productivity is not obtained in spite of high cost and the large numbers of workers. Especially the construction of staircase by conventional method is a very difficult work, so it needs much labor and the quality of it is in bad condition. To settle this problem, our company has developed the DICS(Daelim In-Site Precast Concrete Systems) since 1992. This study introduces COSEC system (RC Core Sequential Construction Method by Using Precast stairs) that is one of the elementary technologies of DICS to reduce the manpower and the construction time and improve the quality of structure. This is the brand- new installing method of PC stair elements after the erection of core walls After RC core walls are constructed by the system form, PC landings and flights are set up between core walls. In order to install PC elements after construction of walls, PC landings are connected by pinned joint with the core wall and PC flights are simply put on both sides of PC landings. This study shows verification of structural safety of this system.
