Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out fundamental materials for spatial changing uses and space program in social welfare center in multi-family rental housing. Social welfare center is a representation agency in the local welfare system to provide the local residents with necessary services directly. For this study, it was reviewed the law and function, the service program, the degree of unit activity, space satisfaction of local residents. The desire date for local residents and interview to social workers were collected by questionary survey, analyzed and synthesized through case study in Jeollabuk-Do. The various spaces and networking in spaces of the unit activity are necessary. Criteria of system and spatial organization are most of important of all when planning of facilities, especially for the handicapped and elderly are founded. Now, The space of social welfare center will be composit space allocation rate per each unit activity section for desired of local residents and to present a basic date of space program of newly planned in unit activity section.
