Abstract |
The vibration control of tall building with tuned mass dampers(TMD) for the reduction of the buffeting response is investigated. A more realistic buffeting excitation is considered, accounting for the buffeting spectrum density function and wind vertical mean velocity. Den Hartog, Warburton and Ioi's frequency and damping ratios of TMD is used for assessing response of structure with modal mass ratio in Multi Degree of Freedom(MDOF) system. The results of programs conducted on a 40-story building modeled to 9-degree shear building with these TMD, clearly show the effectiveness of the systems and which TMD is the best reduce the dynamic response due to wind load. |
