Abstract The purpose of this study is to grasp the programmatic and architectural properties according to the analysis of practical programs in some cases and then propose some design guides.
Here comes Design Guidance according to the analysis result,
1) In exhibition area, as the program to use pavilion which is the required space and directly related to real time exhibition has come to be popular, considering this fact, it is recommended that various methods should be investigated from an arranging exhibit form to architectural design. 2) In education area, according to various activity characteristics in classes, it is recommended that the variable spaces which could be used for other similar purposes should be builded. And it should be planned within a category of openness to make them function complexly. 3) In audience area, service spaces should be decentralized and concentrated variously according to purpose, size, and program of a museum. 4) In relations with central space, to make audience move actively, it is necessary there should be various selective spaces in the center of the space. 5) It is considered that the existing space should be re-interpreted with modern meaning or new space should be builded with new needs. As these spaces have reiterate meanings and functions, it is hard to stipulate them with the existing spatial organization.
In overall spatial organization, organic relations should be maintained rather than definite distinction. Re-estimating the existing spaces, positioning functioning rooms which have reiterate meanings, and then expanding cross-characteristic among areas gradually, it is expected that space for cross-characteristic could be examined closely.
