Abstract |
Interior lightweight partition wall systems are being used inside buildings to divide areas between occupants. The performance capabilities of the wall systems aren't listed in the Building standards, and yet the Building Act stipulates that specific safety features like a fire and residential ability like a sound insulation be included. But there are many other performances for partition walls to fit their usage. So the purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety performance of the turning lightweight partition wall system which was specifically developed for rapid construction and reuse. The turning lightweight system consists of a steel-composite panel with a polyester insulator, spinning under bracket, and a bottom-side panel. Our testing identified the following concerns in terms of building standards safety, compressive, bending and impact strength in terms of mechanical safety, noxious gas safety, incombustibility and fire resistance. However, the mechanical safety of the turning panel is excellent and has a higher value of mechanical safety and Incombustibility and lower gas growth than target value. The fire resistance of the turning lightweight partition wall system was 53minutes, which is longer than target value and better performance when compared with the SGP wall system. |
