Abstract |
In this paper we attempt to develop a new system called "C-Navi" for construction site simulation and management system. By integrating augmented reality(AR) technology with mobile computing, the new system extends the abilities of AR systems to be implemented in large outdoor space. The concept of the 4D CAD system is also utilized by integrating construction schedule with the models and displaying them in the time-based visualization approach. The data received from GPS device can be used for both locating user location and the sun position in order to increase the reality in architectural rendering. The concept of image processing technique is adapted to investigate the visual effect of construction project. 3D utility functions are applied for enhancing the aspect of construction management tool. Our system could help with decision making and also act as a tool for improved communications between project partners. |
