| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to suggest guidelines for apartment remodeling process with understanding existing conditions by analyzing cases and residents' needs. For this purpose, a case study and questionnaire survey were conducted. We focused on addressing problems and residents' needs of apartment remodeling process and finding out alternatives. According to the results, there were needs for law and regulation modification and restriction relief. Residents` Consciousness on association plans was also an important factor. With these needs, specific plans such as periodic meetings and bulletin board were proposed. Moreover, it was necessary to expand and diversify financial supports such as loan, fund and private monetary. Short-term tax reduction and long-term loan relaxation of national housing funds should be also considered as alternatives. Above all, to encourage residents' consciousness on this issue, government, academic field and residents should work together with holistic view. |
