Abstract This paper proposed the basic data about the application of MSC (Modular Steel Concrete) beams by comparing the experimental value with the theoretical value and focused on bending behavior of C-type MSC beams which are composed of steel and concrete. A lot of manpower is needed to make the traditional SC beams for the work such as cutting, welding and so on. Because of complicated to make the traditional SC beams, prefab concept is introduced to make the proposed MSC beams. In a case of perfect composite, the maximum of the experimental result was 0.804 smaller than 0.941 of SC beam and could not reach greatly the theoretical result. The result means that the union method between modules and the composition method with concrete should be improved. The proposed MSC beam can be used as a new structure member by increasing the coherent reinforcement with modules and the composition ratio of steel and concrete in a future study.
