Abstract |
Since the 1990's, many major construction projects utilized the CM/PM, which allowed the domestic construction industry to gain the experience and the knowledge of the CM/PM over the years. Several laws and regulations had been established regarding the CM/PM in order to identify the area that should be improved and propose the way to achieve the successful application of the CM in the public sector. However, during implications of those major projects, many problems occurred such as the lack of concrete and specific guidelines to put the delivery method in operation, lack of understanding of CM/PM, and unsuitable laws and regulations. This paper is designed to accomplish four major objectives. First, it is designed to understand the various CM/PM approaches and the application of the CM/PM in the past projects. Secondly, the research seeks for the prospect of CM/PM growth. The third objective is to analyze the satisfactory level and the perception of the CM/PM method. Finally, this research suggests a politic opinion to improve the domestic CM/PM market. |
