Abstract |
A lot of buildings have been constructed by using curtain wall system owing to the advantage of constructability. However, the fastening unit in the curtain wall is consisted of metal material with high heat conductivity property. Therefore, it comes into being thermal bridge, which brings about heat loss and condensation. In order to develop the performance of insulation for fastener, poly urethane spray is suggested as an alternative in the construction site. However, the alternative is possible to lead interstitial condensation between fastener and poly urethane. And joints for curtain wall are not constructed continuously with insulation. Indoor air is possible to penetrate into the gap and eventually cause interstitial condensation at the outer panel. In this study, it was evaluated whether the condensation occurred or not for curtain wall fastening unit and air tightness alternatives with stone panel by the two-dimensional transient heat and moisture transport simulation. |
