Abstract |
It is compelling to consider the affect of wind loads in various high-rise tall buildings, which have been constructed according to the production of lightweight construction materials and structural design techniques. A high-rise tall building sensitively reacts to winds due to the fact that the wind force will increase according to the increase in building height, which generates vibrations due to this characteristic. In regard to the various shapes of the buildings and their aerodynamic characteristics, many studies have been carried out in the past. For this study, results obtained from the measurements of the wind force using a 6-component force balance. The dynamic response of high-rise tall buildings under strong wind due to vortex shedding of vibration by changing the cross section of building were clarified from these results. |
