Abstract The Techno-Park projects in Korea have not had the appropriate design guide lines yet and just followed the cases of other countries, though they are expected to begin as the second phase after being finished in the first phase. Therefore in this study the factors for the improvement are drawn from the problems of the present Techno-Park projects by the User Satisfaction Method through the POE(Post-Occupancy Evaluation). The purpose of this study is to suggest the useful basic data for planning a new Techno-Park project.
First of all, the objective evaluating list is set up through the existing studies of office buildings such as BQA, STM, REN and then the analysis of User Satisfaction is made at the Venture Incubation Building and the Pilot Plants Building of the cases of Thechno-Park projects.
In designing a new Thechno-Park project, the priorities for the improvement are given to the items having effects on the whole user satisfaction and showing dissatisfaction at the present condition. Therefore six items are drawn as the developmental constituents through the combination of the unsatisfactory items obtained by the descriptive statistics and the influential items by the regression analysis. The six items are as follows; social interaction, convenience of movement for equipments, variety of supporting facilities for users, connection between facilities, rest area for user, flexibility. As the result of this study, the analysis of the above six items shows that the urgent improvement is needed for the spaces to support the social interaction between users and to improve working conditions. Also the analysis shows that the improvements for the movement of equipments is urgent and the item about flexibility is as well.
