Abstract |
This paper considered the change of the floor area in the school building facilities in 2001 - 2003 with data collected from 224 university campuses of 180 4 year colleges. The results ara as follows: 1) The floor area of school building facilities increases continuously every year. The increasing rate of the floor area is relatively high in research institution and belonging institution while the increasing rate of the floor area is low in education basis institution and support institution. 2) The annual increasing rate of the floor area is very high in 2002 and is low in 2003. This results from the students' decrease in 2002 and in 2003 on the basis of 2001 and not from the sudden increase of the floor area in 2002 . 3) 75% of the university campuses in this study shows that total school building facilities is below 23㎡, education basis institution below 11㎡, research institution below 0.7㎡ and belonging institution below 6㎡ in the floor area of school building facilities for each student. 4) According to latent curve model, the average floor area of school building facilities increases 4,972㎡ every year, and also the floor area of early school building area is 16.36㎡ larger and the increasing rate of floor area is yearly mean 0.75㎡ higher in university campus having one more student than average number of campus students; the early floor area is larger and the increasing rate of annual average floor area is higher in the campus having many more students. |
