| Abstract |
This study classified street types according to elevation composition of buildings by street block units at streetscape for color composition of buildings which has the greatest visibility of urban street view components, examined color composition characteristics by street types and selected streescape at districts of central fine sights in Gwangju Metropolitan City as the subject of research.
As a result of study, streetscapes of the subjects were classified into 7 street types by type index and color composition was concentrated within a fixed range, but it showed three characteristics of color composition by type index. There were case showing uniform image by use of basic materials and passive colors and that showing disordered image due to indiscreet use of colors without considering unity and stability. It was found that ratio of color areas was varied depending on finishing materials of outer wall and type indexes like commercial use. |
