Abstract |
This studies aim was to determine ways to reduce the Green House Gases(GHG) given off by the heating and cooling energies of this building. The data used to determined the amount of gases given off from the heating and cooling was through an Annual Energy Simulation Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) or on this particular model building. The material used on the building to determined the information is the most current multiple glazing technology that has been introduced through a combined effort from a Euro-American companies. This company developed four types of window panes and had applied to them 2 low-e polyester film made from krypton gas. It was these four types of window panes were applied to the buildings. Then the GHG were monitored as they were given off by the cooling and heating energy in the buildings. According to this study, an LCCO2 of the four panes type window applied 2 low-e polyester film and krypton gas showed a was 8.5% reduction in (GHG) for both heating and cooling in this building over traditional double glazing window filled air. |
