Abstract Full composite girder can increase the stiffness and strength under the positive bending moment compared with structural steel girder. Therefore, a large difference in stiffness and strength in the positive and negative bending moment. This paper is an experimental report about effective width of the end in full composite girder under the positive bending moment. The different test specimens are "T" and "+" shaped subassembly frames. And a change in the effective width of "+" shaped subassembly frames is different from "T" shaped subassembly frames. The effective width of the end in full composite girder under the positive bending moment has been calculating constant value by AIK, AIJ, ACI, and LRFD-I3.1 Code.
We propose that a change angle in effective width of the end in full composite girder under positive bending moment. The effective width increases from near the column toward mid span. Because, effective width is a basis for the stiffness and strength of full composite girder.
