Abstract This study aims at proposing necessities of new lot design of the residential area in the PUD. Nowadays Chungcheong Province is in the period of rapid changes due to the setting-up of New Administration Complex Town, West Coastal Development Belt and the possibilities of moment of Provincial Office. According to this revolutionary changes new town planning for these area has more important meanings than before, in that if we lose this good opportunities to make, renovate, remodel and develope old city or town, there will be no other chance to recover for ever. As a basic material of city shaping lot design take priority because only a reasonal scale or capacity of lot can accomodate properly dense building and development coinciding with PUD. So the daylight condition of lot due to south and northward architectural slant line for the daylight is analysed and its ideal condition is adopted for the basic designing rule of new lot design.
