Abstract Site is the beginning of the Architectural design. And this study aims; 1) to analyse the various elements of site analysis from the students' works in design studio. 2) to find out the relations between the site analysis elements and the design concept formulation. Through the protocol analysis and questionaries, the site anlysis elements of the 168 students' work were analyzed from 1998 to 2005 (7-semester in 6-years).
From these survey and analysis; 1) The site analysis elements of the students' work were founded and ordered by their frequency, 2) Some kinds of the relations between the site analysis elements and the design concept formulation were founded, 3) How the differences of the site conditions affect to the results and elements of the site analysis. Finally, some matters to be attended to in design studio could founded out from the viewpoint of site anlysis and formulation of the design concept.
