Abstract Curtain wall systems are applied to a lot of buildings instead of multi unit wall and reinforced concrete structure. The indoor environment might be changed plentifully according to application of new outer skin system. The many fastening units are adopted to stone finished curtain wall, that often lead heat bridges finally occurring the environment problems like surface condensation and inside condensation material and also the increase of air conditioning energy consumption.
The aim of this study is to know that the heat transmission feature of fastening system used for stone finished curtain wall. The heat performance of each curtain wall materials is measured through the mock-up test and the additional insulation for preventing thermal bridges is verified for improvement of insulation performance.
