| Abstract |
For structural design and occupants comfort, a high-rise building requires much attention to reduce its dynamic displacement within the criteria level for acceptable wind-induced motion. An appropriate building shape needs to be selected from the important point of view of aerodynamic at the design stage.
In this study, according to the criteria for maximum acceptable displacement and acceleration with several codes, the response of wind-induced vibration is conducted. The AIJ, AS1170-2 and NBCC are applicable to serviceability for occupants. Force balance test have been carried out using rigid models with 4 kinds of building shape. These are all Y-type of different height. |
