| Abstract |
As construction projects get bigger and more complex, communication and information flow among participants become key success factors of a project. However, the concept of management is not yet widespread in construction design field and design processes for managemental use are not cleary defined. For effective design management in design collaboration, computerized design management system is needed, and work process modeling is needed to establish the system. In this research, information-oriented work process modeling method is introduced to represent design process. The work process modeling method and the principle are applied to restroom design process. The modeling outcome shows outstanding improvements compared to current design guide books and work check lists. With the result of this research, computerized design management system can be developed. |
