Abstract |
Carbon fiber sheets(CFS) are frequently used to strengthen the flexural capacity of RC beams. However, at the end region of RC beams, CFS cannot be used. This is because the required bond length cannot be provided at the column face, which results in the lack of bond strength between RC beam and CFS. Therefore, in this experimental study, we examined some methods that are expected to provide bond strength between RC beam and CFS. Then we performed the reduced-scale structural tests and made an investigation into the flexural capacity of RC beam focused on bond strength. |
