Abstract |
A movement of visitor is a practical means that provides a spatial arrangement of exhibits and validity to that principle. Thus, an exhibition of a museum cannot be completed by an intrinsic value of exhibition itself. Rather, the meaning and value of exhibition can be genuinely evaluated by a visitor's experience and reactions. Therefore, focusing on an relationship between exhibits' spatial configuration and a visitor in a museum, this thesis will establish effective indicators of analysis and their validity in predicting a frequency of visitor's visit depending on the structural form of exhibition space. As for the research methodology, space syntax was used to predict visitors' movement. This research has been progressed according to processes and methods as below in sequence. The exhibiting space that visitors experience is considered to be consist of global exhibition circulation and local exhibition circulation. Accordingly, we executed typology in 6 types based on form of circulation of building space composing global exhibition circulation and classified in 3 types of painting on wall surface, type of attachment to wall, island exhibition method based on exhibiting method that forms local exhibition circulation. As the result of research and analysis as above, this research could induce conclusions as follows. Spatial configuration is indicated to be able to control and adjust the spatial experiences that is formed when visitors visit museums to a certain extent by method of probability. Thus it is considered to be able to be utilized as an effective analysis method in forecasting the spaces that views go open and the spaces that visitors visit without fail through application of the visitor forecasting model. |
