Abstract This study is to analyze the spatial composition and characteristics by types of general hospital O. P. D. in Korea.
In conclusion, first, the general hospital O. P. D is able to classify into the types focused on spatial configuration, plot planning, floor plan and corridor shape. Each types are changed by corresponding with examination & treatment(E&T) systems and functions of O. P. D. in general hospital.
Second, the types of E&T department are able to classify into the singleness department and grouped department composed by several faculties. The grouped E&T department is subdivided into room units E&T and section units E&T by bonded types.
Third, the types of specialized center are able to classify into general center, centers for chronic disease, peoples of specific class(child, woman, elderly etc.), internal organ, health promotion, rehabilitation and so on.
