| Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the polarization in the construction industry. Three factors were identified as the reasons of the growth polarization: the change of construction business, structure of construction supply chain, and sales and technical capacity of the construction enterprise. Based on these factors, qualitative indicators were developed to investigate the perception of the growth polarization according to the enterprise scale and business structure. Most of the surveyed companies reported that they had experienced declining the growth rate. The degree of the rate was much larger in small and medium enterprise. And there was difference between general contractors and prime contractors in presenting the cause and solution of the polarization. |
