Abstract |
This study aims to examine the fractal geometry as pulling up its latency of design methodology. The real world's having been changed into the high technology society based on two important resources, information and technological innovation, chaos theory has appeared as one possibility which can clarify various and complicate social phenomena. Among the series of methods to make architectural forms containing modern society's complex and various programs fractal geometry, the geometrical expression forms of chaos theory, has been showing up with the development of computers. Figuring out the way how fractal geometry appears in architecture, this study includes fractal geometrical thinking structured by generator and algorithm in architecture and the formative relation with program transformation into diagram in modern architecture. These principle ideas adopting the fractal geometry which makes the program of architectural form go to four ways such as selection, generation, construction and transformation as well is analyzed. To confirm the effectiveness as the design method in architecture flagship center for case project is designed under these ideas. With this trial project, the fractal theory could be a suitable design tool for the contemporary program needs. Taking a look at the prospect of application of fractal geometry in architectural project, the more near project induct the more form as the self-developing form generator within its architectural algorithm not as a limited topological attractor. |
