Abstract |
This study investigated required ventilation rate to reduce indoor pollutants in residential building. This study used Computational Fluid Dynamics as an analysing tool. Required ventilation rate was analysed by figuring out geometry of the air velocity and contaminants' concentration of each room in a unit residence. In addition, Emission rates of indoor air pollutants that were used as boundary conditions were determined by small chamber method. For the result of this study, in consideration of indoor air velocity and distribution contaminants' concentration, 1.25 ~ 2.0 ACH for the Model-1 and 1.0 ~ 3.0 ACH of ventilation rate was required to maintain indoor air quality in good condition. |
