Abstract |
Spatial allocation or configuration in police stations has become an object of BPR. The old spatial plan, which has not been changed since the Korean Police started in 1945, is now about to bring a reformation into a 'new office'. This study reviewed the conventional floor plans of investigation/service rooms of 4 police stations, and then suggested new floor plans of them. The 'before' and 'after' floor plans were compared and analyzed using a space analysis technique called 'space syntax method'. The feasibility of the new floor plans was reviewed and evaluated. A new space model of investigation/service rooms of police stations reduced from the analysis and the evaluation was proposed. |
