Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the elevator connection and the spatial configuration on the space layout of public facilities in mixed-use residential tall buildings. By analyzing drawings, we found some conclusion for the efficient space layout of public facilities as the community facilities. First, by the space layout of public facilities, the values of the control and the integration are higher on the ground than the underground. Second, by the approach to public facilities, he values of the control and the integration show higher in the direct approach from elevator core than the horizontal approach. Lastly, regarding the elevator connection, there is no difference between the every-floor-system and the zoning-system. This study contributes to a basic studies for the spatial configuration of public facilities in mixed-use residential tall buildings.
