| Abstract |
This study is concerned with one such concept, the urban regeneration, focusing on balancing the development between urban core and urban fringe. The purpose of this study is to analyze the policy of urban development and inner city regeneration in Korean and suggest a planning strategy for implementation of urban regeneration initiated by the local governments of Daejeon, Gwangju, Cheongju, and Cheonan. This study is consisted of four areas as followings : literature review of existing urban regeneration policy, review of each city's current situation and problems, review of each city's urban regeneration plans by major projects, & specific evaluations and suggestions for urban regeneration. The result of reviews is synthesized and used to suggest the major strategies and guidances for the future urban regeneration relating to the relevant laws. Also, it proceeds to yield an appropriate methodology from the aspects of policy and its related laws, respectively. |
