Abstract This study analyzed the seat positions of men and women during the service classified by the sexes, the classes, and the ages. Also this study tried to find out the accepted usages. This study showed following results.
Men sit on the right side and women sit on the left side. The older men sit on the edge of the right and the younger women sit on the edge of the left. Moreover the pastors and the seniors who were men sit on the right side, and laywomen and students sit on the other side.
The seniors and deaconesses tended to sit on the forward seats. But the pastors, deacons, and lay believers avoided sitting on the forward seats. In conclusion people of the higher classes except the pastors and the old tend to sit on the forward seats.
