Abstract |
This study aimed to identify and compare the rating indicators that are required for the Green Building Certified Systems in order to realize the requirements of sustainable multi-family housing complexes. No proper or reliable assessment tool for the evaluation of sustainable multi-family housing communities exists. The assessment tools present three different methods, such as building orientation(LEED-NC, BREEAM, CASBEE), neighborhood orientation(LEED-ND), and a hybrid method that combines these two methods(GBTool, GBCC). The assessment tools were focused on the indicators and weighting coefficients of the four main issues ‘site utilization and transportation’, ‘energy and resources’, ‘environmental loadings’, and ‘indoor environment’, but did not adequately address ‘building operating performance’, and ‘social, economical, and humanitarian issues’ |
